About the role

You will turn strategy into a visual system: mark, type, colour, layout, imagery and the rules that keep them together when hundreds of people and a few agents use them.

We care less about the single hero visual and more about whether the system survives its hundredth application. You will build the tokens and templates, write the usage rules, and review agent-generated variants against them before anything reaches a client.

What you will do

  1. Develop logo, type, colour and layout systems from an agreed strategy
  2. Build design tokens and templates for web, print and social
  3. Write the usage rules that make a system teachable to a client team
  4. Review agent-generated variants against the system and tighten the rules they break
  5. Prepare brand books and handover files that a client can run without us

  2. Days 31–60

Design a component set for a client rollout, with the usage notes written alongside

  3. Days 61–90

Run the variant review for a campaign and ship the rule changes that came out of it

The plan is written down before your first day, and you review it with your lead as the weeks go by.

How we hire for this role

5 steps, and a reply after every one.

The steps for this role, set by its hiring lead. Timings are targets; when one slips, we tell you.

  1. Within 5 working days

    Step 1: Application read

A designer in the practice reads your portfolio first, your CV second.

  2. Week 1 · 45 min

    Step 2: Portfolio conversation

Walk us through one system: the brief, the choices, what you would change now.

  3. Week 2 · 3 hours, paid

    Step 3: Paid system exercise

Extend a small fictional identity to three new touchpoints and write the rule each one needs.

    Work sample · the brief
  4. Week 3 · half a day

    Step 4: Studio visit

Meet the team in Ludhiana, sit in a critique, ask anything.

  5. Week 3–4

    Step 5: Offer

In writing, with the level, the band and a start date that suits you.

What helps an application

  • A link to work you made, with your own part in it named.
  • One project you could talk through for half an hour.
  • If you used AI, a line on how you checked what it produced.
  • Plain words. We read for substance, not polish.

Adjustments. Extra time, questions in advance, captions, a different format — tell us on the form or by email. Asking never counts against you.
