After you press send

  1. 01Now

    You send it

One form, no account to create. It goes straight to the practice you chose, under a reference you can quote.

  2. 02Within 5 working days

    Someone reads it

A practitioner in that practice opens your links first and your CV second.

  3. 03Typically three weeks

    You hear back

A yes, a no or a next step, in writing — with our reasons, if you want them.

The full hiring process, stage by stage

The application, in four steps.

Six short sections, then a review. Answers marked * are needed to send; the others help us read you well. Everything goes to a practitioner in the practice you chose — no software ranks or filters it.

Privacy statement

What happens to the personal data you give us when you apply. Please read it before you start — the form cannot be sent without your consent.

  1. 1Scope

1.1Xterra Edze (“we”) wrote this statement to explain what happens to the personal data you share with us when you apply for a role, send a speculative application or take part in any stage of our hiring.

1.2It is given under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act) and the rules made under it, and it covers your data from the first field you fill in, whether or not you finish and send the form.

  2. 2Who is responsible

2.1Xterra Edze Private Limited decides why and how your application data is used, and is the Data Fiduciary for it under the DPDP Act.

2.2The companies that host our website and carry our email handle it only on our written instructions, under contracts that oblige them to keep it secure.

  3. 3What we collect

3.1The details you enter here: who you are and how to reach you, your experience and education, your CV and the links to your work, your answers, practical details such as notice period and salary expectation, and any adjustments you ask for.

3.2Please leave out your religion, caste, health (other than any adjustment you choose to request), political opinions and government identity numbers. We do not need them and do not ask for them.

3.3Our servers also log the IP address and browser that sent the form, to protect the service from abuse.

  4. 4Why, and on what basis

4.1We use your data for one purpose: to consider you for the role you chose (or, for a speculative application, the practice you chose), to stay in touch about it and to run the hiring steps. It is never used for marketing.

4.2The legal basis is your consent, given with the box below. You can withdraw it whenever you like; we will then stop considering your application and delete it, keeping only what the law obliges us to keep.

4.3People make every hiring decision here. Software helps us schedule interviews and search our own records, but no automated system screens, scores or rejects an application at any stage.

  5. 5Who sees it

5.1The lead of the practice you applied to, the people who interview you and the colleague who coordinates hiring. If another practice looks like a better fit, its lead may read it too — we will tell you if that happens.

5.2We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to recruiters, advertisers or any other company.

  6. 6Storage and security

6.1Applications and attached files are kept on our hosting provider’s servers, in a private area the public website cannot reach, open only to the people named in clause 5.

  7. 7How long we keep it

7.1We keep your application while your hiring process runs and for six months after it ends, so we can answer questions about the decision. Then we delete it.

7.2If you tick “keep on file” when you send, we keep it for twelve months after the process ends instead, and may contact you about other roles in that time. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

7.3If you join us, your application becomes part of your employee record and follows that record’s retention rules.

  8. 8Your rights

8.1You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it. You can withdraw your consent, and you can nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

8.2Write to our Grievance Officer at connect@xterraedze.com; we acknowledge within 24 hours and reply within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

  9. 9Age

9.1This form is for people who are 18 or older. If you are younger, please write to us before applying: the law requires verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before we can process your data.

  10. 10Declaration

10.1When you send this application, you are telling us that what it says is accurate and that you have not left out anything that would change our view. If we later find that something important was not accurate, we may stop considering the application or withdraw an offer.

01/ 06

About you

We reply here, whatever the outcome.

Optional. We ask only to check you are 18 or over; it plays no part in the decision.

Digits only — the dialling code goes in the box beside it.

Optional for now — only an offer letter needs it.

Behind a password? Add the password with your links in section 04.

02/ 06

Your experience

Every open role is listed. If none fits, keep the first option — a speculative application gets the same careful read.

Only for a speculative application: the practice whose lead should read it.

Choose the level your recent work best shows. After reading, we may suggest another.

We plan around notice periods; a long one is never a reason we decline.

03/ 06

Education

Most of our roles do not need a degree. If you taught yourself, choose that — it counts.

Optional. Only the ones you still hold and use.

04/ 06

Your work

A CV, or a link we can read instead — LinkedIn, a portfolio or a repository. A PDF opens most reliably.

Optional. Awards, talks, papers, open-source work, launches. Things outside work count too.

Optional, and the first thing we read: one piece of work, your part in it, and what changed because of it.

05/ 06

In your words

Something specific you noticed about our work tells us more than general enthusiasm. At least 40 characters.

Name the problem you would solve, not the title you would hold. At least 30 characters.

Optional. What you learned and changed is what we read for, not the mistake itself.

Optional. A side project, a sport, a craft, a cause — whatever keeps you busy.

06/ 06

Practical

Optional. Every role lists its band; if you would want to land outside it, tell us where and why.

Will you have a laptop to work on from day one?

We ask because some roles start before a company laptop can be delivered. Your answer never affects the decision.

Optional, and no reason needed: extra time, questions in advance, captions, a different format.

Review and send

Look over your answers above, then press send. The next screen shows your reference.

By sending, you confirm what clause 10 of the privacy statement sets out: what you have told us is accurate and complete.

Applications are assessed on the work and what it shows you can do next — never on religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status or region.

Your data
